Tiny house Max, in Victoria’s Mansfield Shire, is named after the king of the wild - Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Max leads the wild things declaring “let the wild rumpus start”, but ultimately he learns balance - the comfort of loved ones & the call of the wild. We hope our Max lets you run wild, but also reconnects you with your loved ones. 

Location

Tiny house Max is just over two hours drive north east from Melbourne CBD near the town of Merton. Set in a secluded location with views to Mount Buller and the Snowy Mountains, Max is the perfect getaway for when you just need space. 

The local area is for all travellers - adventure seekers, nature lovers and peace seekers. Nearby you’ll find the Strathbogie Ranges, Harrops Folly Sanctuary, Mount Paradox, Merton Creek and Kippings Bridge. And for the wine lovers, there are numerous boutique wineries within a short drive. But if you ask us? We’d say stay put - cook over the campfire, wander the stunning property, start and finish a book, and just unwind in a beautiful space.

Details

Max sleeps 3 with a Queen bed by the main window and a single bed in the loft. We provide bedding, linen + towels, USB charger, bar fridge, hot shower, toilet, fan + heater, stovetop + BBQ, fire pit, cutlery, plates, outdoor seating, books, board games and basic provisions such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, drinkable water, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar, matches and oil. Bring only food & drinks. Our tiny houses are powered by the sun and gas bottles, so don't expect to charge your laptop or plug in any appliances, but there is a small USB charger that may work if the sun is shining!

Unfortunately Tiny House Max has a strict no pets policy - sorry!   

Terms

Check-in at 3pm and check-out 11am. TWO night minimum stay Friday/Saturday, ONE night minimum stay Sunday-Thursday. All ONE night stays incur a $50 supplement to cover consumables such as gas, water & cleaning. Further details in the FAQ and provided upon booking.
