Overview

Tiny Robert is a charmer. He’s set in a quiet, secluded meadow far enough away from the noise but close enough to wineries, coffee shops and some incredible hikes. Immerse yourself in nature by day and sleep under the soft glow of uninterrupted starlight. Named after Robert Jordan from Ernest Hemingway’s For Whom The Bell Tolls, this tiny house serves as a necessary reminder to live for today.

“Oh, now, now, now, the only now, and above all now, and there is no other now but thou now and now is thy prophet.” - Ernest Hemingway

Location

Tiny house Robert lives on a 10,000 acre property in south west NSW close to the town of Bungendore. A world away from the hustle and bustle of the city, life here is slow and good for the soul.

The main window of Robert frames a sweet windmill and incredible views across the valley. Once you step outside, take a deep breath of fresh air and head down to the dam to unwind by the water.

The nearby historic village of Bungendore is a quaint place with antiques, delicious eateries, and shops stocked with fresh local produce - chestnuts, truffles, biodynamic wineries and more. We recommend stopping in on your way to pick up supplies for your stay.

Details

Tiny house Robert sleeps four with a Queen bed in the loft and two single beds downstairs. The single beds are set up on an “L” shaped lounge. One of the single beds is perfect for children, but adults may find it a little tight. The other side comfortably sleeps 1 adult.

Fresh bedding, linen, and towels are provided so are basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, conditioner. You may be in the wild but don't worry we've set you up to have hot running water for your shower and the water is also perfectly drinkable. Making delicious meals is no issue with a bar fridge to store your food, a stove to cook on and basic condiments such as salt, pepper, sugar and oil at your disposal.

We believe the best experience you can have at a tiny home is to do as little as possible, but there are board games and books to keep you entertained. Theres also plenty of hikes and walks available around the house.

How our tiny houses work:

Our tiny houses are powered by the sun and gas bottles, so don't expect to charge your laptop or plug in any appliances, but there is a small USB charger that may work if the sun is shining.
