The stunning setting of our tiny house 'Walden'.

Our tiny house, Walden, has moved to an exciting new location just two hours south of Sydney that is jam-packed with things to do. The surrounding area offers something to quench all variety of appetites - adventurous or leisurely.

Bungonia National Park

Located just a short drive from our ‘Walden’ tiny house, Bungonia National Park is a scenic treasure and the ultimate adventurer's playground. The park is packed with great hiking trails with easy options if you’re in the mood for a more leisurely walk (such as Green Track), or challenge yourself to experience the Bungonia Slot Canyon. The Park estimates 5hrs for a 3.8km walk (the Red Track) so you know you’ll have your work cut out! The rock formations here are quite spectacular so make sure you bring your camera.

Adam’s Lookout is also well worth a stop with views of the slot canyon and the beautiful Bungonia Creek Gorge - plus keep a look out for the peregrine falcons above.

The Big Merino

Would it be a drive south if you didn’t stop in at The Big Merino? We think not! The Big Merino (fun fact - his name is Rambo!) makes for a great group photo and the gift shop offers a luxurious range of wool products, celebrating the Australian Wool Industry. If you’re visiting us at our tiny house ‘Walden’ in winter - treat yourself to a soft pure wool scarf to wrap around you while you’re sitting by the fire.

While you’re here having a very Australian experience, you’d be remiss not to enjoy a pie with sauce from the famed Trappers Bakery!

Boutique Wineries

The Southern Tablelands are home to a number of award-winning wineries and this tiny house location is no exception - located on one such winery.

Wandering the property you’ll discover a thriving vineyard and an eco aquaponic micro-farm growing delectable produce. Make sure to book in a farm tour to learn about their unique approach to farming.

Local Markets

Parkside Community Markets (second Saturday of the month)

Spend a morning wandering through this lovely local market. It’s brimming with local produce, fresh flowers & plants, local arts & crafts, and great food. Local musicians add to this relaxed weekend vibe.

Staying Put

Of course, this is also a fantastic option! Allow yourself to really unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings. The farm also offers delicious hampers so make sure to place an order when you book.
